Opening an account online is easy and takes less than ten minutes. You need to be at least 18 years old and a citizen or Resident Alien of the United States (some accounts also require New Jersey residency). No. Your Amboy Direct account can be linked to any non-Amboy checking account, making it easier for you to transfer money whenever you want.
Opening an Amboy Direct account is quick, easy and convenient. Click Open Now to begin our secure account opening process and enter the required information. You will then be asked to confirm the microdeposits in your linked external account. Lastly, you'll transfer money from your linked account to your new Amboy account.
To verify your depoits, you will need to note the microdeposit amounts (less than $1.00) in your linked external account. Then, log in to Amboy Digital Banking and correctly identify the deposit amounts.
We will notify you via email when your application has been approved and your account is open and available to access.
You can access your accounts 24/7 through our Digital Banking platform, available on any device.

Absolutely. You may contact an Amboy Direct representative right here in New Jersey through our toll-free number, 1-877-22-AMBOY. Our hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 8:30am to 7:00pm; Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm; and Saturday 9:00am to 1:00pm.
You can add a second owner to the account at the time of account opening, or later by mailing the request to us. Please include the name, address (if different), telephone number, social security number and date of birth as well as your account number. We also need photo copies of the current account holder and second owner's driver’s licenses to complete this change.
We can accept up to two beneficiaries on an individual account. You may complete this form and mail or fax to us. Please call us for more information.
